Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes what data the website theparsee.app and the related Telegram bot @theparseebot (the "Service") collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by an individual operator acting under the laws of the Republic of Poland. As a legal entity is currently in the process of registration, we refer to ourselves below as "the operator" or "we".
Contact for any data-related question:
- Email: support@theparsee.app
- Telegram: @theparsee
2. Data we collect
2.1. Data you provide via the Telegram bot
- Your Telegram user ID and, if set, username and first name — we receive these automatically from Telegram on your first interaction with the bot, so the Service can recognize you.
- The accounts, tickers and topics you add to your subscriptions or watchlists. We need this to actually deliver the Service.
- The content of messages you send to the bot (commands, links, screenshots).
2.2. Payment data
Payments are processed exclusively via Crypto Pay API (a third-party service within the Telegram ecosystem, operated through the @CryptoBot bot). We receive from it only transaction metadata: invoice ID, payment status, amount and currency. Cryptocurrency wallet addresses and any other payment credentials are not transmitted to our servers and not stored by us.
2.3. Technical data of theparsee.app
- Browser localStorage is used solely for two user preferences: theme (
tp-theme) and preferred language (lang). This data stays local on your device and is not sent to our servers. - Cloudflare Web Analytics — we use Cloudflare's aggregate analytics, which is cookie-less and does not identify individual users. Cloudflare provides us only with anonymized aggregate data: page views, performance metrics, country at the country level.
- Cloudflare as CDN / reverse proxy — Cloudflare processes visitor IP addresses and User-Agents for DDoS protection, caching and performance. Cloudflare processes this data under its own privacy policy.
2.4. Cookies
The website theparsee.app does not set any cookies of its own. Cloudflare-related cookies (e.g. __cf_bm) may be set by Cloudflare for bot protection; these are strictly necessary and not used for marketing tracking.
3. Purposes and legal bases of processing
| Data category | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Telegram ID, subscriptions, commands | Providing the Service | Performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Payment metadata | Subscription accounting | Contract & legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b), 6(1)(c)) |
| IP address (via Cloudflare) | Site security, attack prevention | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Cloudflare aggregate analytics | Understanding site performance | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| localStorage preferences | Interface personalization | Consent (effectively, by user action) |
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and do not pass it to third parties for marketing or advertising. The following processors are involved in operating the Service:
- Telegram Messenger LLP — message delivery, bot authentication.
- Operator of @CryptoBot (Crypto Pay API) — crypto payment processing.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — CDN, DDoS protection, anonymized web analytics.
When using these services, data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. The named processors rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and other GDPR-compliant safeguards.
5. Retention periods
- Account data (Telegram ID, your subscriptions and settings) is kept as long as you actively use the Service. After account deactivation, data is preserved — Service access is paused, but the configuration remains so that you can restore the account at any time. See the "Your rights" section for details.
- Payment metadata is kept for the period required by applicable Polish tax and accounting law.
- Cloudflare logs are retained according to Cloudflare's own settings and policy.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- right of access (Art. 15);
- right to rectification (Art. 16);
- right to erasure ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17);
- right to restrict processing (Art. 18);
- right to data portability (Art. 20);
- right to object (Art. 21);
- right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For Polish users — Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO).
To exercise any of these rights, write to support@theparsee.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Account deactivation and data deletion
Two options are available to stop using the Service:
- Deactivation (in the Telegram bot): menu → "Information" → "Other" → "Deactivate account" button. This is a reversible action: Service access is paused, but settings, topics, tracked accounts and the feed are preserved. You can restore the account at any time via the bot.
- Full data deletion (right to be forgotten, GDPR Art. 17): write to support@theparsee.app. The request is processed manually within 30 days: data is anonymized, after which account restoration is no longer possible.
What is kept on deactivation. All account settings (Telegram ID, tracked accounts, topics, filters, cart, feed) are preserved unchanged. Service access is paused; data is not used for active processing while the account is deactivated.
What is kept after full deletion. Transaction metadata (invoice ID, amount, date, currency) is retained in anonymized form for the period required by Polish tax and accounting law. After anonymization, this data cannot be linked to your identity.
Active subscription. If you have an active paid subscription at the time of deactivation, it terminates simultaneously with deactivation; no refund is issued (see Terms of Service, Section 5).
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data: TLS encryption of all traffic, restricted server access, Cloudflare as a protection layer. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with their data, please write to support@theparsee.app — we will delete it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. For material changes, we will notify active users via the Telegram bot and/or update the "Last updated" date at the top of the document. By continuing to use the Service after the updated Policy is published, you accept it.
